You can experience seeing for yourself the annual migration of Snow Geese, Songbirds, Hawks, Sandhill Cranes and Waterfowl.
Biologists and naturalists will be sharing the importance of
the wetland areas.
See thousands of migrating Snow geese, Canada geese, various Shorebirds,
Cranes and Swans return to the Beaverhill Lake and area.
It is an incredible thing to see!
In the town of Tofield, a trade fair and numerous activities provided many options for visitors.
On-site guided bus and/or walking tours, trade show, evening banquet and more!

2023 Snow Goose Festival
Join the celebration of spring migration going on at the 2023 Snow Goose Festival in Tofield, Alberta on April 22 & 23! Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the awesome spectacle of thousands of snow geese, Canada geese, shorebirds, cranes, and swans passing over the Beaverhill Lake area this spring.
Bring your binoculars, spotting scopes, cameras, and sense of adventure! The festival features FREE ACTIVITIES, including a Trade Show in the Tofield Arena (8 am - 6 pm) with vendors, speakers, and activities for the entire family. Take advantage of the FREE SHUTTLE from the Bethel Transit Terminal in Sherwood Park to get to the festival. Sign up for 2 or 3 hour wildlife and bird viewing bus tours of local birding hotspots, or register for a 3-hour guided hike. Finally, tickets are available for a banquet and silent auction!
With so much to see and do, there is something for everyone!
